A photographic explanation of my two-month absence from the blogosphere

Bob and Lynda Olson came to Morocco! Late February to early March.

Rod was a good sport and spent some time with us in Marrakesh, where you can get fresh-squeezed orange juice in Jamaa el Fna, the main square.

Dad got a huge kick out of the snake charmers there. Me, less so.

In Rabat, we all attended a Rotary meeting with Dad.

And later, the parents got to try on some traditional Moroccan wear.

Their visit was promptly followed up from one by Toral Patel, from early- to mid-March.
(TP - did we really only take one picture together the entire time?)

The day Toral left, Rod and I flew out to India for a ten-day trip.

With five of his college friends.

Who are a huge amount of fun.

After flying into Delhi and seeing the Taj Mahal in Agra, we traveled to Varanasi, the holiest city in Hinduism, located on the banks of Ganges, one of the dirtiest rivers in the world.

Our next and final stop was Kashmir, which is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended to anyone who digs big mountains.

The return flight involved a six-hour layover in Bahrain. So of course we had to pop out of the airport for dinner at a bonafide Mexican restaurant near the American military base.

Last stop before coming back to Morocco: Paris.

  1. Love the pic of you and your dad with the snakes! And the fact that you and Rod are wearing matching outfits in the one with your parents...
